‘Other Woman’ seizes box office crown from ‘Captain America’

“The Other Woman” had ticket sales of $24.7 million (14.71 million pounds), while “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” took in $16 million, bringing its total domestic sales since its April 4 release to $225 million. .

The PG-rated faith-based drama “Heaven Is for Real” came in third with $13.8 million for the period of Friday through Sunday, according to estimates from box office tracking firm Rentrak.

DC superhero team film confirmed

A film in which Batman and Superman will team up with other superheroes from the DC Comics stable has been confirmed by the Warner Bros studio.

It follows widespread speculation that a film about the so-called Justice League will follow the previously announced Superman vs Batman film.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” said Greg Silverman, Warner Bros president of worldwide production.

“Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League,” Mr Silverman told the Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog.

British actor Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot are all expected to appear in the film, playing the roles of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman respectively.

Even though Parks and Recreation had already been renewed for next season, the overt resolutions unfolding at the very tail end of April 24’s sixth season finale were starting to make the episode feel like a series finale.

Leslie was leaving Pawnee’s Parks Department (but not the town itself) for the job of her dreams, Ben’s board game was a cult hit, Ron chose pleasure (Diane) over pain (Tammy Two), Tom’s restaurant was a massive success, Andy and April were so in love they’re getting a divorce so they can get married again, and Donna… well, Donna’s always money.

2015 Chevrolet Trax Confirmed For Transformers 4 Movie

The fourth instalment of the Transformers movie franchise, Transformers: Age Of Extinction, is now just a couple of months away from its cinematic debut, but we’re still learning of new cars that are set to appear onscreen. The latest to be confirmed is the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, the Bowtie brand’s new subscompact crossover on show this week at the 2014 New York Auto Show and due in local showrooms early next year.

The Trax joins three other Chevrolets confirmed for the movie: a Camaro, Corvette Stingray and Sonic. The Camaro will once again by the vehicle form for lead character Bumblebee, but it will come in several different styles including a heavily-modded vintage 1967 Camaro SS and a futuristic concept.

Lupita Nyong’o Joins ‘Iron Man’ Duo For ‘Jungle Book’

The most beautiful person of the year is headed to the jungle.

Lupita Nyong’o, fresh off of her Oscar-winning turn in “12 Years a Slave,” as well as being named People magazine’s most beautiful person of 2014, has scored a role in “The Jungle Book,” director Jon Favreau’s upcoming adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling tale. Scarlett Johansson, currently filming “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” has also joined the movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nyong’o will play Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts a young human boy named Mowgli. Johansson, meanwhile, will provide the voice of Kaa, a python who hypnotizes and eats other animals. Kaa is the second villain of the film, following the ferocious tiger Shere Khan, voiced by Idris Elba.

Eric Hill was involved in a paragliding accident Sunday that left him in a coma. His family announced that he died Wednesday morning.
